Default Ok tire sizing for Rota

Ok i posted earlier and got my answer for another question i had. Now i have another question. I bought my car with 17" rota Slipstreams. They currently have 215-45-17 and 235-40-17 on there now. I need to change my rears and was wondering if i could go 255-40-17. i am asking about this because i dont know the rim width. i am assuming its a 17X8.5 in the rear because when i measured the rim from lip to lip its about 10". can someone verify this. thanks. oh and i im lowered i think about 1"

Shouldn't be a problem. I have 255x35x18 on the rear using the ROJA's and do not get any rubbing. Not sure you can find 255x40.
