"generic"

one thing that made me happy was the tires was made in Japan. nothing against things made in china or taiwan, but i felt better seeig "Made in Japan".

well i suppose you could call them generic...sumitomo rubber supplys rubber to dunlop....and sumitomo rubber owns sumitomo tire...so were pretty much buying Dunlop HTR-Z III

you can also look at it the other way. the dunlops are the generic tire since they don't make their own rubber and has to get it from someone else.

so i have had my HTRZ III on for about two weeks now and i love them! never driven on R compounds so i dont really know what a REALLY good tire feels like but these feel better than BFHoodrich G-Force's(my previous tires).

im running around -4.0 degrees of camber in the rear and they look sick! There description says they used a firmer rubber on the inside to decrease wear...ill be the judge of that!!

i had G-Sports on my IS and they were great for the first few thousand miles but performance decreased after 6 months and i hope this doesn't happen to the HTRZ-3. i'm glad i'm not the only one liking the sumi's....

-4.0 very aggressive, i'm pretty sure your not running the stock suspension... when i had mine aligned it was at -1.7 but i had it aligned to factory specs. the only thing bugging me since, the steering wheel is a little-tiny off where its not the perfect 3 and 9, you can't see it but can feel it if you guys know what i mean.

its been raining here in san diego for the past week so i tested the wet grip just to see the breaking point of adhesion and all i can say RE050 who. the performance to dollar ratio of this tire can't be beat.

[QUOTE=TRDLiquidSilver,Feb 8 2008, 01:31 PM]they're similar from what i can feel but i need more time. where i took the car doesn't really challenge the sidewall stiffness that much but i know a place that would.
