Default OT: Tires for C43

Hi guys,
My dad has a 1998 C43 AMG Mercedes that could use some new tires.

Currently has:

F: 225/45/R17
R: 245/45/R17

I have some old tires that I was going to put on my S2000, but now they are just collecting dust.

They are:

F: 215/45/R17
R: 255/40/R17

I would give them to my dad if I was sure they will fit fine.
Sure it has less traction in the front, and more in the rear. That might effect handling, but no big deal.
I don't know his rim widths, but I can tell by looking at the current setup, both the wheels and fenders can physically take these tires.

Will the rear cause a speedo error?
Any other negative effects of this tire change?
Any input appreciated. Thanks a lot!

You would throw off the anti lock brakes. The set up you are looking at would be shorter than stock in the front and taller in the rear.
