Default Getting New Tires

I just looked at my tires, and it's time for replacement. I have 215/45 on 17x7" rims in front, and 245/40 on 17x8 in rear. Has anyone run a bigger tire on this setup, I'd really like to lay down some more traction, hoping it would be possible to fit a 235/45 in front, and a 265/40 in rear. The car has not been lowered, so there is still a little room for some more sidewall. Anyone know if it is possible to fit those tires without any rubbing.

you need to make sure that whatever new size you put on is close to the same diameter as the stock tire (one is 24.8", other is 25" but I forget which is which).
