Default Plugging/patching RA1s?

One of the RA1s that I use on the street has a screw in it. It leaks slowly and I've been too lazy to yoink it so I've just been filling up air every other week. Due to the way the tire is constructed, is there any reason why I shouldn't plug or patch an RA1? TIA

You should take to a tire store and have it patched from the inside with a plug-combo...
