Poll: Front wear VS rear wear
For those of you who don't do frequent burnouts, how long do your front tires last compared to the back tires?
Please post your answer, there's too many possibilities to do a real poll.

I can't answer your exact question, since I don't do burnouts, although I do push the car hard (no track time however).
I just replaced my rears at 18Kmiles (3/32" tread left - almost bald). My fronts still had 7/32" which tells me that the fronts will last at least 2x longer than the rears in "normal" driving. If you do burnouts your rears are going to probably last less than 10K miles, my guess.

I'm only going to get about 10K out of my rears and I don't do "burnouts" eather. Also, my fronts are doing a bit better, but hey are wearing much faster on the inside of the tire than the outside. I figure I'll get anouther 5-10K before I have to replace them.

Replaced my rears (S02) at just short of 12K.
Hoping my fronts will last until the next time I need to do the rears. Maybe do S-03s them.
Right front worn on inside edge. Maybe an alignment will save it.

My rears were worn enough that one went flat at 20,000. The fronts lasted until 25,000. Rear wear seemed even. Front wear was a little more on the inside edge. I will be having the alignment checked this weekend.
Average driving, no racing, no dramatic stops or starts.

I don't do burn-outs or track driving - strictly "spirited" street driving.
My rear S02's made it to about 11.5k miles before I replaced them with BFG KDWs. At 18k miles, the front SO2's still had a decent amount of tread, with no appreciable uneven wear inside vs. outside.
I've now got BFG KDWs all around. There does not seem to be all that much difference in road holding as compared to the SO2's, but there is some. For example, when power shifting just before the rev limit, it is possible to "chirp" between first and second gears w/ the KDWs.

My car is 4 weeks old and my left front tire is just about gone. I have a 3 mile commute to the office and I choose to take the freeway so I can take advantage of three interchanges that can be taken around 80 -100 + depending on traffic and getting the rubber to come up to temp. I have noticed that the car leans hard on the left front enough to smoke the tire after the second and third sweeper.I'm going to run Hoosier autocross slicks next ,at least until I get pulled over .

You obviously have a fairly major problem somewhere. Your wear should be even (left/right) at least, and there's NO way your fronts should have that kind of trouble. And there should be no way to "lean the car" that heavily.
If your front actually smokes then I'd suspect defective tire, or WAY underpressure.
Take it back to the dealer. Get them to replace the tire, check everything, and do an alignment ASAP (obviously do the alignment and THEN replace the tire). They should have checked all this stuff before giving you the car.
This is THEIR fault, or a defective tire. In any case, they should take care of it under warranty.
