Pros & Cons about Kumho tires
Putting the correct size of tire regardless of brand is not a problem, so I'm not sure what this has to do with anything.
As for how the Kumhos perform, I have the 712s. I did a 3500 miles trip with these last year. They seem to have very good life to them. They'll probably last a good length of time. They don't grip very well, though, but I'm OK with it. I can predict more easily when they'll break away compared to the OEM S02s. This makes it easy to throw the back end around at will. Hydroplanining isn't a problem as the rain channels are very effective. Wet grip is adequate but not stellar.

What do you all think about Kumho tires for the S2K on our stock rims?
Kumho ECSTA 17 on stock 16" wheels. Very cheap. Very good hydroplane resistance. Louder and slicker than factory S02s. Progressive break-away. Very fun to drive on, but lacks all-out performance.
Kumho ECSTA MX on 17" Volk wheels. Very cheap. High grip level. Handles heat well. Did track work this past weekend and was thrououghly impressed.
Kumho Victoracer V700 on 17" Volk wheels. Track tire that can be driven on to the venue. Not as good as the newer all-out track tires like the V710 or Hoosier's latest. But better than any street tire out there for dry performance.
