THE TIME HAS COME for me to finally pull the plug on some new Wheels/Tires. After browsing the forums night and day for the last year I'v owned my S, I came up with possible dream team to be ordered this weekend.

BLACK Enkei RPF-1s (How original)
17x8, 45mm Offset (Front)
17x9, 45mm Offset (Rear)

Wrapped in:
Pilot Sport PS2
225/45ZR17 (Front)
255/40ZR17 (Rear)

I daily my S here in Michigan and now and then I drive in heavy rain. I may take her to a track twice a year at most.
How was my selection? Do you have input into a better solution? Im open to ideas but I'm starting to settle my mind to this settup.

(Quick Edit, my car is completely stock, hasn't been lowered, only a gears front lip installed so far.)

Just make sure your fenders are rolled, and you might have to run with some negative camber to fit the 225s/255s.

 

Two things to know:
-Those wheels will not fit any kind of big brake kit, so if you ever go that route, you'll need to change wheels. However, they are very lightweight and cheap, so if you don't need a BBK, they are a great option.

-PS2s are super old tires at this point. You can spend less money and get a much better tire.

 

I don't plan on getting a big brake kit, weight savings was my primary concern for daily driving.
I did notice they were older tires. Did you have any suggestion for better /cheaper tires?

 

You are incorrect about the BBK. The 17x8 rpf1 has the convex face and has room for a BBK. It is the concave 17x9 that has zero room which he is running on the rear so it really isn't an issue.

OP that all sounds good to me. Like CMK said roll the fenders and you'll need to dial in the alignment as well.

 

In the Max Performance Summer category, in those sizes, the big contenders these days are the Continental ExtremeContact Sport and the Bridgestone S-04 Pole Position. Of course there's the Pilot Super Sport but it's not available in 225/255, you'd have to go 215/245.

I know there'll be lots of other opinions in here, but those are the ones that continually come up in that category.

 

PF01 fit better (17x8 +50, 17x9 +60). Looks subjective but I think they look better too...

 

These wheels came on my used 2016 car a few years ago. I was unimpressed and pulled the plug immediately. Couldn't wait to get them off the car. Didn't help that they were painted black though. 17x7J-45mm front and 17x8J-45 rear. OEM 215(F) and 245(R) Dunlap star specs (or similar) fit fine without alterations but those wheels were narrower than the Honda OEM wheels which are also Enkei-manufactured so don't get excited about the brand name.

I can run 255mm rear tires on my OEM AP2V2 wheels with no alterations to the car. Running Bridgestone S-04 all around.

Not a fan of the low offsets of the RPF1's. To run 255 square and have some options on camber, 60-63mm offsets are way better. I autox though and have no room on my car for parts for looks only that do not fit the function I want, so my input is based upon that. Even with the higher offsets and -2.6 deg camber up front, the tabs on the fenders have to be rolled if it is lowered much at all.

I do and always have liked the weight and look of the RPF1's, it is just a shame they designed them without consideration of lowering and wide fitments on a car that everyone runs 255's on for track or autox :P
