Default purchased re-01R

Went out to the tire rack warehouse,...which i might add is bigger than i ever imagined, and picked up my new tires sized 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 for stock ap2 rims., a little expensive but its an s2000, thats to be expected,....all 4 tires, with nevada tax came to 759 dollars.
This is one SEXY tire ,...never thought i'd say that about a tire but it looks great!
had the chance to see the ever popular BBS LM in person,...WOW. makes me wanna see if i can qualify for "bill me later" on a set of them
I will post a review for everyone once they are mounted and i have a chance to break them in a lil'

Congratulation! I purchased my set back when they first came out from tirerack so it was cheaper, you will not be disappoint. I think these are better than our oem. I appreciate the fact the you said "a little expensive but its an s2000" you gotta pay to play so don't bitch when thing get pricey. Not that we all should go and get a $1500 Mugen CAI, but if you got it....

These are probably the best tires I've ever used. I started using them for road racing this year and have been incredibly impressed. I'd even be bold enough to say that they've definitely outperformed my Falken RT-615s that I had been so loyal to.

We have seen very good results on this tire. Even though they are much better in the dry I have seen good wet traction on the tire as well. I would say as close to an R compound tire as you can get in a street tire.
If I can help let me know.

Hey Jim, I was looking to change my setup too this coming season and I have to say I love the RE01R you sold me but now I wanna try a non stagger setup. I want more insight on the RE070 that are on the CR. Will they perform just as well or better than my RE01R's??

I'm a big fan of the RE-01R's myself. Very nice grip, excellent breakaway characteristics and recovers nicely from a slide. Definitely more grip then RT-615's, but I be told by fellow auto-x'ers that it is slower then the AD07's.

i have RE01Rs and love them...awesome tires and ive been thru a few brands. the ad07 would be prob the only tire that compares and can out do it (but wears faster). even 615's cant compare as they wear quicker and are sh!t in the rain. T1R's i had before were ok, hard ass tire tho....i think they have a new RR out tho...not sure how it is. but the re01r is one i would buy again anytime.
