Default Question about Rotors for Jim

Hi Jim,

I'd like to tap into your expertise, as searching the forums isn't helping too much at the moment.

In the past, for HPD, I used OEM rotors with high temperature pads. However, with the rising cost of metal, it appears that I can get aftermarket rotors for similar, if not less than I can get the OEM rotors.

I'm eyeing the brembo rotors for the s2000 at the moment, as I've always had a good experience with their products on my STi, but Tirerack categorizes them as a "premium" rotor, which is not for track use.

I'd prefer to have a solid rotor as opposed to a drilled and/or slotted rotor; can you provide some feedback for me on the Brembo rotors please?

Link to the specific rotors I am interested in:

I would be bedding the new rotors with Project Mu HC+ pads.

Thank you!

-Mike

Note to mods: I realize that this would probably be more appropriate in the Parts and Modifications section, but I posted this here because this would be the section Jim frequents the most. Please move if you see that as appropriate!

Those will work fine. As you mentioned, stay away from any slotted or drilled rotors for track use.

These might even be better:

You may want to look at the Cryo Stop Rotor. They are going to give more consistant braking and they will resist cracking, warping and fading. They can also last 3 times longer than a not cryo treated rotor.
I do have a set of the plain Brembo's in stock that would work as well.
If I can help let me know.
