Non staggered wheels with staggered tires are ok. I'm currently running 17x9 all around with 225/245 but will move to non staggered tires (245s) very soon since my car now has partial track duty. Didn't go with 255s because of rubbing issues (+35 offset).

Also, as some have noted, if your car is strictly DD then I'd go with the V12s. Had them on my stock wheels and they were perfectly fine for DD.
