Default Question about tire sizes and rim width...

I'm planning on ordering the Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs, but I need to make sure there won't be any issues with rubbing and my size choices. I'd like to do the 225/45/17 and the 255/40/17 on Work Emotion 17x7 and 17x8 wheels. Will these tires fit these wheels, or do I need to go a bit more narrow?? The car is also on Swift springs that lower it about 1" in front and .8" in the rear if this helps with the rubbing question.

Thanks in advance!

yes It will Fit perfect.... the setup you are going its actually not agressive at all.. I am running a 17x9+45 Offset in the front and a 17x9.5+38 Offset rear to run my setup you will need a neg. camber and front and rear fender rolling...

you'll be fine

Your tires might be "bubbling" out a little bit with your sizes. I am running those tire sizes but on a 7.5 front and 8.5 rear wheel and the tires sit flush with the wheel.

Since you don't say what your offsets are it is impossible to say whether or not you will rub. I would go with a 215/45, 245/40 tire combo with those size wheels anyway to stay closer to the recommended rim width. Check Dunlop's spec page for those details.

I would not recommend the 255/40R17 on the 17X8 wheels. I would stay with the AP2 tire sizes with the wheels you have.
If I can help with the tires let mw know. There is a 50.00 mail in rebate right now.
