Default Will these wheels and tires fit?

Hi guys, I would like to know if a 17*9 wheel with a +62mm offset will fit on the rear with a 255 size tire. Also, will a 17*8 wheel with a 45mm offest fit on the front with a 225 size tire?

Thanks,

Alex

you should be fine on the rear, the fronts i think you will need a roll. im still a tire/wheel noob, so wait for someone with more experience to chime in.

Better off going 17x9 +62 all around imo, and running maybe 235/40-17 fronts with 255/40-17 rears. That should fit without any mods at all.

You'll be much LESS likely to rub running 235/40-17 up front on 17x9 +62 than with 225/45-17 on 17x8 +45.

what is a definite size wheel for the front with at least a 215 tire that will not rub no matter what?

17x8 + 45 w/ a 215 tire shouldn't rub, but a 225 would rub. What is being said though is that it's a smarter and more logical choice to go with a higher offset simply to get more tire on the ground.

One more time:

17x9 +62 will not rub with a 235/40-17. NO PROBLEM.

Whereas with 17x8 +45, you'll be closer to rubbing even with a 215.

IMO, 17x9 +62 is a MUCH BETTER OPTION for fronts than 17x8 +45.

Capisce?!

ok thanks for your help guys. But what i don't understand is won't a 235 tire be just as wide as a 255 tire on the same rim (a 17*9) becasue it has to be stretched out to fit on the rim?
