Thumbs up Help on wheels

I hit a deep @!#@!# pothole yesterday and it bent my front and rear passenger rim. So now I'm looking into buying new wheels.
I must admit, I am a beginner when it comes to automotives but I have been trying to research and learn more about it. So, can anyone suggest some rims I can look at? Dimensions? Should I lower my car after applying new rims for aesthetics?
I was looking at a TE37 and I like the way it looks. I have a black AP2 and I want to slap some black rims on it as well.
Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Well I think a very important question when looking for advice on wheels is: What is your budget/how much do you want to spend? Something like a set of Volk TE37s will likely set you back roundabout $2000.

My budget is between 2000-3000 dollars. I wouldn't mind spending less if they are good high quality rims.
I wonder if anyone can suggest any brands or websites I can check out.

Thanks for the website.
I want to know the exact specs for the 2007 model when it comes to the wheel.
Would it make much of a difference if I get different sizes from the stock?

Front:
Offset: +48mm Backspacing: 6.22" Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Rec. Tire Size: 215/45-17
Weight: 15.8lbs.

Rear:
Offset: 65mm Backspacing: 7.63" Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Rec. Tire Size: 245/40-17
Weight: 16.6lbs.

Those are the specs I acquired for the TE37 Time attacks that I want. Would they fit on my '07?
