Default Question about tyre wear

Hi

Just a quick question about tyre wear. Yesterday I had a service of my S2000 at the excellent TGM Sport Racing and they mentioned that my left rear tyre (all my tyres are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A) has slightly more wear than my right rear tyre (he didn't seem particularly concerned, just something to be aware of). Wear is even across the tyres themselves. There's still plenty of wear to go on all tyres and the car handles lovely so I'm not majorly concerned, just curious really. What could possibly cause this difference in wear?

Many thanks

R

You need a alignment.

You can rotate your tires.

Typically, the left side tires will wear out a little faster than the right side tires because in city driving, you generally make a lot more right hand turns. Right hand turns = more load on the left side tires. Well, in the US at least.

But since you used the spelling 'tyre', you might be in the UK/Australia where you would make a lot more left hand turns. So.... maybe just a function of the rear diff allowing a little wheel spin from the left rear while accelerating through a left hand corner? Just guesses
