Default Question on running Toyo R888's

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if it would be okay to run a 235/45/17 up front and 255/40/17 in the rear would cause me to ride any different? I bought the 235's from a friend already and I'm considering the 255/40's for the rear because they don't offer a 255/45 for the rears.

Any help is greatly appreciated thanks

I have never ran this tire. But I have read on several different threads that it is widder than other tires with the same specs.

"On a side note...I have not tested AO48s but I prefer R888s over Nt01s. Mainly cause the tires considerably wider....255 R888s are approximately 1/2 of an inch wider than 255 NT01s."

So depending what offset your wheels are, what camber you are running, and if your fenders are rolled or not, those sizes may be difficult to fit.

Probably not much help... but it is a start. Maybe someone with experience with the R888 will chime in.

You wouldn't want to run a 255/45 anyways. That is a huge tire.

You could probably run the 235/45R17 on the front with the 255/40R17 rear but it is not ideal and may rub because they are a taller tire.
