Default Question for you Prelude guys

I have a friend that just bought a 1998 Prelude. He is thinking of going with an 18" rim on stock suspension. What off sets will he want to look for in a set of rims also how wide of a rim and tire size.
Looking for a nice clean set up with out having to roll fenders Thanks

At least +45mm, altho u can sometimes get away with +40 thru +42mm, it would cut it close. Plus he will really need suspension eventually because it will look like a 4x4.

I am lowered 2inches with a 17" rims, on +42mm offset, no rubbing issues whatsoever because I stuck with 17", since he is going 18" he will definately need +45mm if he doesn't want some rubbing issues.

Also there is a tab in the wheel well that can be cut or shaved down to fix any rubbing issues, in the case that he does have issues.

It really depends on rim width...

I had 18x7.5 +48 Volk LE37T wheels with 225/35 S03's on the car, my car was lowered about 2 in, and it rubbed if I drove it hard.

If you are in the 7" wheel width range you can get away with +40 thru +45, If you jump to a 7.5 or 8in wheel you are really stuck with +48 or better.

Oh yeah forgot about tires and rim width sizes. ^But yeah specialque is right^. I am on 7" width with 215/45/17 tires size, so that's why I don't rub... anything more would be better with +48 offsets.

Depends on width. I ran 17x8 + 48 on my car for auto-x use, but on a 7 or 7.5 a +42 to +48 works fine.
