so in doing some looking around, i've noticed that a lot of the reviewers are stating that the S2000 CR will use RE 070s as original equipment to provide better handling than the RE 050s. anyone know if these will be available anytime soon in AP2 sizes? and if they are, will they be worth buying? on tire rack's website they are ranked pretty low in their category, something like 31 out of 40 something tires...doesn't seem like honda would use a tire that poorly regarded, especially to try to increase handling over a standard S2K...thoughts, anyone?

 

Same tire as the Last Gen NSX-R. So I doubt the tire is a slouch, considering the NSXR is supposedly the "fastest JDM." Take Tire Rack's ratings with a grain of salt. A expensive tire with a treadwear of 100 will rank pretty low in anyone's books. Get the tire that suits your needs.

The Size it's available in is most likely the size for the WRX Sti.

 

I recently bought the RE-01R and they are incredible. They hold a lot better than the 050's and they aren't too much more $$$.

 

@ rioyellows2k - yeah that's what it looks like...most of the reviews i read were from sti drivers
