Re-barrel BBS RS need help
Hi Guys,
I am planning to buy 16" BBS RS and stepping them up to 17" by re-barreling at a local cut shop.. However I am not 100% sure if the face I'm getting will fit/work on s2000, spacers required?? Can somebody please tell me if they have done it before and or any tips.
The BBS RS face I'm looking at has "5x114.3" which fits s2000 I believe.. and other specs are as followed, 2 x RS180 - 16x7.5et14
2 x RS247 - 16x8.5et14...
Thanks Guys !! I will be posting them up once refurbished, if they are even compatible.

Well I hope the offsets are better when you re barrel them the bolt pattern is correct. I can't speak to the face work with the calipers or anything though. I will say I have seen 16 inch faces on the s and it looks incredibly small Evernote with the bigger lip. You are taking about a good amount of money for this from what I have seen I would try to find so e 17's instead. Unless these wheels are dirt cheap.

Yea they are pretty cheap lol
have you seen rs 16 stepped up 17 on s2000? how do they look? cant find any pics anywhere lol
The face with the calipers I am worried about.. something to do with bore size. I have been told the rims are 73.1mm .. not 100% sure what that means.. and I found that s2k are .. 70.1mm front and 64.1mm rear.. the numbers has to match? I'm very new to all this stuff and was thinking I'd do the rim project to learn more lol

Yeah Thats what I was saying and they look incredibly small. It was on someone elses car and they were the work equip wheels. The face just looks comically small. The bore is referring to the hub area so it will fit. You may want some hubcentric ring but with good aftermarket lugs you shouldn't need them.
Really your best option would be to test fit one of the wheels when you go to see them. Just jack up the car and put one on. The 16 should fit but it will tell you if the face hits the caliper.
Also I should stress the et14 is TERRIBLE for the S so I hope when you get them rebarreled you are raising that offset by about 40mm.

Thanks for the advice, ive been told rebarreling you can change offset so that part is clear. However need to test caliper clearance which is hard to tell, since ordering from another state lol
