Those treadwear numbers are somewhat arbitrary as there is no real standard in determining them.

Usually they offer a decent idea of treadwear when comparing with in a brands line up but not so much in this case. I've always felt there was something fishy going on with the RE050 ... like B'stones marketing dept wanted to imply their performance greatness with a lower treadwear.
