Default Rear Tires

I have an 05 s2000 on stock wheels and suspension. I was thinking of getting 245/45/17 tires for the rear. Would that be a good set up? Would that lift up the rear of the car or cover the gap between the tire and rear quarter panel??? Also are perelli's good tires for an s2000?
