Default reconditioned wheels

What exactly is a reconditioned wheel? Is it just a wheel with some curb rash or scratching that was refinished or is a wheel that has been bent and fixed or what?

Reason I am asking is this:

http://shop.hondapartx.com/wheels/s2000-oe...ly63872u20.html

I really like the 04+ wheels but I cant justify spending as much money on factory wheels as I would on say some SSRs or almost some volks. But at around a $1k for a set, I would definately be more interested. Just dont know about a wheel that has been reconditioned even if its got a warranty. Any advice?

It just means that the rims have been made to look like new...if they did have some rash on them, it was filled and cleaned up and nothing to worry about ...jump on that deal.

its pretty hard to repair bent/ badly damaged rims.

most likely they are just cleaned up after a bit of curb rash....
mind you how can some one be so clumbsy to give thier wheels curb rash, i have had my s for well over 2 years now and not one sign of scraping a curb

My rims had to be refinished after a slight..ahem..incident. Anyway, I'm not impressed. My rims have serious issues of missed places, poor spraying, flaking clear, and is easily damaged. They fill the damaged areas but typically will call any bending/cracking a lost cause. If you think those are what you want, and are willing to powdercoat, go for it, the only issues are in looks, physically they are solid. But make sure to powdercoat.
