I am going to repaint a set of stock wheels, but i don't know how to prep them for it or what paint to use. Is it ok to us regular spraypaint in multiple coats over a primer and finish it with a hard clearcoat? or do i need some special high temp paint? what is the strongest solvent/cleaner that you can use on wheels to clean the caked on brake dust(and i don't care about maintaining the current finish, because i'm going to paint over it anyways)? thanks for any advice you can give me
