Replace Your Old Tires
My 05 still had the original Bridgestones on it when I bought it two years ago. With only a bit over 6,000 miles on the car, I figured the tires would be fine for another couple years. The hard ride I credited to the car. When I brought the car out of storage this spring, I decided it was time to replace the tires, now at 7300 miles. With Michelin Pilot Super Sport fronts on national backorder, I opted for the Bridgestone S-04 Pole Position. Wow, what a difference in ride quality. The ride is much smoother and quieter, not harsh at all. Maybe my wife might even start enjoying rides in the car. I can't wait to break the tires in and enjoy some spirited driving.
Don't be an idiot like me, replace your tires before they age out at 10 years.

I believe tires are supposed to be replaced 5-6 years after the manufacture date, and imagine the performance was compromised too. Glad you like the potenza s-04s, rated as the second best max performance tire next to the Michelin's.
