Default Who changes all 4 tires at the same time?

I was reading through the forums that when you replace the tires you change them all at once so handling characteristics are not altered (ex. new tires in rear but old up front)

what do yall do with the tires up front that are not completely worn out yet?
or can you actually get new tires in the back and still use the originals in the front for a while until they are worn and then buy new tires for the front?

If you're going with the same tires, I don't see why you couldn't just replace the rears, as long as the fronts had a significant amount of rubber left on them.

I went with a different tire when I replaced mine, so I replaced all 4. It's not good to mix tires.

As long as all tires are of equal quality (same kinds preferred) and not too old or worn you can replace just one end at a time based on your needs (usually a couple of sets of rears to every front on these cars).

I only change all 4 if I am changing the types of tires. In other words, if the brand and models are going to be differant, change all 4. If you only need rears then buy a matching set of rears that are the same as the fronts. Normally we go through 2 sets of rears for one set of fronts.

You shoud never replace 2 tires that are differant from the other two. And you should never install 1 tire that is differant from the other either.

with everybody above.
And if the tires are not asymetrical one could move the left front to the right front (and vv) to get the most out of them due to a negative camber setup wear.
Note that I'm talking about getting the tire of the rim and putting it on the other rim so you don't change the direction it turns.

with everyone as well. I changed all four of my tires when my rears were worn down because I hated them (Hankook RS-2s) and went to S02s. I'm much happier with the S02s
