Default Rim measurement

I have a rather beefy set of Wilwood calipers on my S2K. So beefy, in fact, that my OEM rims have approx 2-3mm of spacing around the calipers. Like hell will I put spacers on, and I'm concerned about buying rims that don't "bow" out as much as the OEMs. Is there a term for the clearance of the spokes around the caliper?

Pics: Cals

If anyone has input, it'd be greatly appreciated.

The offset is not going to tell you if the wheels will clear the brakes. If you have Brembo brakes the OE wheels will not fit. We only have the SSR GT7 in 18" to clear the Brembo BBK.

So essentially I have to look for a specific criteria "fits brembo brakes" when hunting.

Btw, the OEM rims do fit. They're pictured. It's just a close fit.

Those looks like Wilwoods to me, not Brembo...

Wilwood = big
Brembo = bigger

Yes that is what I saw as well. The OE wheels do not fit the Brembo BBK.

Er, doh! I was thinking about my truck calipers. Yeah, the Wilwoods are a tight fit. So there's no specific measurement term for the caliper's width in respect to the hub. I guess this'll be a game of trial and error.

How about the Advan V2s? I notice Tirerack doesn't carry them, but maybe someone has heard from a friend of a friend of a friend...?

If you have clearance with the OE wheels and they don't hit you would be fine. You can always get a drawing of the brakes and check that way.
