Rim mismatch - Damage?
I posted about 2 weeks ago that my new summer "stock" setup felt a bit "strange". I cheaped out and took my S to local Bridgestone dealer to have winter (LM-22)/summer (S-02) swap done. I also ordered rears from him. Specifically stating: replace rears with same tires. I use stock rims year-round. I finally took S to my trusted (but expensive
) Honda dealer to have him do a "once over" on my setup. Something just wasn't right.
I get a call about 1 hour after dropping it off. Bridgestone dealer screwed up big:
1) he ordered 205/55/16s for rear and installed them. I had 205/55/16 at all 4 corners
2) the bs tech must have mixed up the rims. On front axle I had (1) 6.5" rim and (1) 7.5"rim. Same for rear axle.
I had a gut feeling and turned out to be true. They just didn't feel right. Dealer say there is no damage.
Anybody think different? I drove about 500 miles in city commuter traffic like this...no hard country road driving. I learned lesson: check your car when work is done to it.

It would not damage the car as long as the wheel did not come off you would be fine. Check the hub of the car and the studs. If they put the 7.5 wheel on the front it actually has a smaller hub and could cause a problem.
Just take a look to be sure.
You would also want to get the wider tires on the rear as well.
