Rim and Offset question

Rim and Offset question
I have done lots of searches on the forum and have used the offset guide quite a bit while pondering on what rims to get. I want to avoid fender work completely and want to stay staggered so I know those two factors narrow down my options extremely. I have been looking at ce28s and re30s but just can't swallow the price right now. The spoon cr93 look quite similar to the re30s but very flat faced. Essentially I could not find any info of anyone running the 17x7 +52 front and 17x8.5 +53 rear setup. Everyone seems to run the 17x8.5 +53 front and 17x9.5 +63 in the rear which I'm not really against but just wanted to see about the stock size setup. Basically I want to know if the 17x8.5 +53 rear will fit well if I lower the car an inch or so. I understand the factory offsets, but I know I'm gonna get burned for posting this question anyways. Also if I decide on the wider setup (17x8.5+53 and 17x9.5+63) tires what sizes 235 front and 265 or 275 rear?
Thanks in advance. Brandon. Also open to other rim suggestions

You are not going to get burned for posting this because these offsets actually fit. People burn people because we get tired of telling people that a 9.5+15 will not fit.
The 17x7+52 and 17x8.5+53 will fit perfectly fine. With this setup, run stock size tires 215/45/17 and 245/40/17
Most run the 17x8.5+52 and 17x9.5+63 for the wider tire selection. This setup allows a couple different options. You can run 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 with a slight stretch, or 245/40/17 and 255/40/17, or even 245/40/17 and 275/40/17.
I ran a similar setup 17x9 +55 with a 235/45/17 and 17x9.5+65 with a 265/40/17. Dunlop discontinued the 265/40/17, so I had to change my setup. Going back to 17x8+48 and 17x9+55 to run 225/45/17 and 255/40/17.

I am running SSR Type C RS. I have 3 different pairs (8+48, 9+55 and 9.5+65) so I can mix and match. My original setup was the 8" and 9", but I bought a pair of 9.5" to move the 9" to the front to clear the Spoon calipers that I bought and run larger tires. Sold the Spoon calipers and the larger tires were discontinued, plus they took too long to warm up during autocross. So I am reverting back to my original setup.

A few things. Unless you have a 10 inch or wider wheel there is no reason for a tire beyond a 255 unless you are building the car for boost and drag racing.
Second if you don't want to roll the fenders you choices are extremely limited. Really if you are staying with oem widths and near oem offsets why even buy wheels? Just run oem ap2 wheels you like the best and enjoy.
3rd the spoon setup you posted will fit. The 9.5 may be a bit much though I would bet you would need to roll the fenders with those.
Finally if you really want ce's or re's save and wait and get what you really want. Don't settle just because of price.
