a friend of mine sells rota. however he said he could only get
18 x 7.5 +45/+48 5h x 100/114.3
18 x 8.0 +45/+48 5h x 100/114.3
would it be ok to deviate from the 1" width stagger? and what about those offsets?

i was looking at these wheels too and I got a size list from the guys at SubyDude and said they got 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 in the highest offset of 48mm. 18x9.5 in 48 is too much for the rear. The 18x8.5 in 48 would be a better fit and one I would most likely go for.

I'm assuming most rotas won't fit due to the hub bore problem - most are made too small. From the research I've done, some machining would be necessary, but don't take that as set in stone.
I love the Rota bashers. A lot of Subaru guys race on them, and swear by them, and the STis/WRXs are much heavier cars. If they're good enough for the guys with 3200 lb. cars and r-comp tires, they're good enough for me. I personally had three sets on my WRX, and never had a problem. I would buy them in a second if they came in true S2K-specific offsets. No sense in taking those maad tyte $2K jdm rims and covering them in track debris/brake dust, IMO.
