Default Rota Slipstream

I'm thinking about purchasing a set of Rota Slipstream. Here are the specs.

16x7 5x114.3 +45mm offset
16x8 5x114.3 +48mm offset

Can I run my stock tires with these (I have 02 wheels). I'm also lowered on Espelir Springs. I know that Rotas are knockoffs but can anybody here tell me your inputs on Rotas.

my opinion on rotas - you would never see me with rotas on my car.

I see no problems with Rota's. Not everyone can afford to spend $2000+ on wheels.

Why go with 16's? I dont think the 17" Slipstreams would cost much more and you'd have more options with tires I believe.

i just put that exact same set-up on my car. Looks amazing and the wheels are great value. Would buy again for sure. The car will be tracked a lot this summer and these wheels are very very nice for that purpose. Wrapped in Hankook RS-2 it's an amazing set-up

As for why not get 17"? because Rota made a great 16" wheel that is lightweight, however their 17" weighs 5-6lbs more. The 17" Slipstream is just for looks while the 16" has practicality.

You just need to check the hub bore.

I would order from Machiii.net. Great service and they will make sure the hub bore is correct for you and include the hub rings, since they will be necessary for the front wheels (pretty sure it's the front wheels, but either way, they'll be need for the wheels with the smaller hub bore).

I'm thinking about going with the same 16" set-up as track wheels. I know that using the stock S02's will be OK, but does anyone know if I can squeeze in 225/50 fronts and 245 or 265/45 rears R-comp without rubbing?

I also started a thread on Rotas a while ago, and honestly after thinking about it, I wouldn't do it. The slipstreams look great and they're cheap, but I would feel very uneasy about having them on my car.

JerryX - what tires do you plan on running with that setup? I was looking into the same thing as well. My concern is the fact that I want wider than stock tires.
