Default Rotas and Konigs

Hey fella, need a little help. I love the rota d2's but can't seem to find anyone other than racinglab that sells them in the staggered fit. On top of that I also can't find anyone that will ship the APO. I have seen the Konig SSM's that look fairly decent but the offset on the fronts are 45 and not 48. Will I have to do anything special to make these fit or will the same tire setup for the Rota's work? And if work is needed, what exactly will i need to do to the front fenders? Thanks for the help.

Eric

I am not surprised nobody has replied...this question is answered all the time. You have been lurking on here since 07'? I am surprised you don't already know what will/and won't work.

But regardless, How wide of wheels? How low is the car? What size tires do you want to run? You looking for staggered or non staggered?

I used to rock slipstreams back in the day...17X8 +48 upfront lowered about an inch and a half. No fender mods needed. 17X8.5 in back +45 fender tab would rub under high compression. 225/255s

haha yeah def lurking but not on here all the time. the question is answered all the time but im still unsure of how the offsets work and all of that jazz. I remember seeing these wheels on a car but didn't specify what he/she had to do for it to work. The car isn't lowered yet but coilovers are on the way. I only plan on lowering about an inch or so. The specs are 18x8 45 for the front and 18x9 50 in the rear. I know the rears will not be a problem since its the same as the rota's that everyone runs already. The question is the 45 offset up front. I wasn't sure if that would work since the rota's are 48.

If you stick with a typical sized tire (225/40, 255/35) then you are going to need a fender roll front and rear if you are lowered at all.

^Correct. Those sizes and offsets are fine you will just need a roll.

Nice! thanks for the info fellas. Is fender rolling a job that most typical body shops can do? I've heard you can do it old school with a heat gun, rubber mallet and patience.

Most body shops should be able to, but you might be able to find a tuner shop or local individual who specializes in this. There isn't much to roll in the front, mainly consists of trimming out a bit of the fender liner and bending the tabs up.
