Default rotating tires

[FONT=Times][SIZE=7][COLOR=blue]
I'm about to buy some Bridgestone/Firestone Fuzions for my rear wheels, and they come with a lifetime rebalance. Do you really need to rebalance rear wheels after a while? There is no sense in being a pain to Firestone if they don't really need rebalancing.

Also does anyone know a good technical discussion of tires: reasons for tread patterns, technical info on rubbers, construction methods, etc.?

Thanks for help.

I would say you don't need to rebalance the tires unless there is a problem. You can't rotate the tires on the S2K either.

Actually, the fact that you can't rotate your tires, you should re balance your tires.
After 5000 miles you would have wore out enough rubber in the rear to throw off the balance.

i dont see how rebalance every 5000 miles will help unless the wheels are out of balance. balance and rotation serve different purposes. i would'nt worry about rebalance unless there is a problem.
