Default rpf1 tire size for solo str class

I am Aware this might have been brought up before but I was unable to find it in any forems I looked at. I have a set of enkie rpf1's 17x8 and 17x9 both with a 45 offset. I am currently running the car in the solo str class. I have not lowered the the car nor have I rolled the fenders, stock suspension. These rims are light and I have them already so I would like to use them. Question is can I run 235/40/17 on the front using a 255/40/17 on the back? I have had some people suggest a 235/40/17 all around using this wheel set? My car is an 2001 and I currently run stock 16 inch rims with star specs. I'm looking to get as much rubber on the ground as I can any advice would be greatly valued.

With some negative camber and a fender lip roll the 255/40R17 on the rear and a 225/45R17 front will work better. I suppose with a little work the 245/40R17 front and 255/40R17 rear would work. If I can help let me know.

Thank you very much for the response, if I'm no mistaken TireRack as Hankooks in that size? 225/45/17 and 255/40/17. Hoping to run them at our TireRack national meet here in Farmington, NM next month.

225/255 setup will benefit you alot better. More options on tires and a more nutrual setup imo
