^ IMO, That's mostly true.

Sure, the Koseis only have a 45mm offset, but because they are an inch narrower than the WedSports, they won't stick out as far, giving the tire more clearance room.

Balboa, that's false. What Race Miata said is 100% correct.

Since the offset is measured from the wheel center, wheel width does not affect the placement of the tire relative to the fender. Since the tread is the most likely part of the tire to rub and it isn't moved by changes in rim width, it's only the tire width and wheel offset that matter when we're talking about fitment.

Gotcha, I was thinking offset was measured from the wheel center to the outer lip, but I was wrong.
