Default Rubbing with 17" RG II

I just had my new wheels put on today and am rubbing. Here is my setup: 17X7.5 +45 with 225/45/17 Advan Neova and 17 X 8.5 +50 with 245/40/17 Neova. I am lowered 1" on Swift springs with Koni yellows on the stock perch. Will the UK/Euro alignment specs fix my rubbing problem? I thought this was a fairly safe setup and was surprised to hear the rubbing on freeway bumps.

thanks for any help

it depends on how much it rubs on the fender, it it barely rubs then the extra negative camber should fix the problem, but i would roll fenders too...just to get extra clearance....

i basically have the same set up but with 255/40/17 in the rear. I would say you need to roll your rear fenders. I have the UK alignment specs and still rubbed, had to roll my rear fenders. I am lowered on pss9 which is probably similar to your set up. you "should" be fine in the rears after that, i just dont know your spring rates
BTW i still rub on hard turns in the front (i have 225/45/17 but my offset is 48).

hopefully that helps

thanks for the advice. I was surprised, but realize that the Neovas run wide for the stated size and the 225 front with a +45 was going to be tough to totally eliminate rubbing. I replaced my Advans with Eagle F1 GS03s in 215/45 245/40 and no more rubbing.

I hear if you roll your fenders it will be fine, this is with 17x8.5 50 and 17x9 45 in the rears.

Yeap... jcurtis is running that with 225's on the front and 255's on the rear. He says only under hard braking does his fronts rub and he is much lower than a 1" drop. He is running the U.S. alignment specs.
