Default Rubbing with 18's

Hey Guys,

I have some Work Meister S1 3 Piece wheels on my s2k, and im having some rubbing problems. The car is lowered on Eibach Springs and Koni Shocks, and Im starting to get rubbing problems on the front right side of the car. The front offsets are +56 and the wheel size is 18x8. Im running the tire size 225x40x18 and starting to get body damage when I take fast right turns or hit hard bumps. I just changed the camber to -1.8 but I also want to change the tire size to 215x40x18. Should I use this? Will it look funny on the car? Do you know of any other ways to stop the rubbing? Thanks so much

- Ryan

Thats a pretty conservative offset, got any pics of how low you are dropped?

How low you are and type of suspension will have an affect on this as well.

Is that really your offset in front? Does anybody else think that a +56 offset seems high for the front wheel in that dimension? It seems hgh to me.

I think it would sit fairly close to stock on the outer edge. Pics sure would help!!!

+56 isnt high, and besides the higher it is the least likely the chance his outer fender would get damage.

its high offset, the wheels will do this regardless of offset. its cause the caster on the car pushing the turn in wheel out. fact of life.. even with +70 fronts still does it..

when wheel turned offset doesnt matter.. higher offset just makes it grab further forward and lower offset grab further back..

215 would decrease it... and 215 on a 8 isnt anything crazy... more reccomended than not.. just drive better and push the fender tabs up.
