I have 18x9 rears on my car with +55 offset and no rubbing though I am not lowered. I would not think with that high of an offset that you would rub. Dont hold it to me since I have not experienced it first hand.

I just posted this pic earlier in a thread so here it goes again:

Hopefully these will help. I think if I went more than maybe an inch and a half I would rub but you are also going with a higher offset so my guess would be no. How low are you by the way?

17x9.0 + 63 in the rear should be fine, but 9" is pretty big for the front. What tire sizes are u going to run up front?

Oh and hopefully you can make it to the roundup and you can check out my car as well as 50+ other s2k's. I will be driving from an hour and a half east of Houston to make it out there. Hope to see you out there.

i think the springs gave 1.3 in on the F and 1.5 on the R and fronts i wanted to run 235/35/17 or 245/35/17 and maybe 255 or 265 on the back????

unfortunatly i cant make it to the round up i am going out of town, im sure its gonna be fun... have a safe drive

Yeah I think a lot of s2000 race cars don't run staggered, but I don't think thats the best setup for the street or avg driver.

19's are ridiculous.. great idea to get rid of those

just because some race teams use or used to use a non-staggered wheel/tire setup doesn't mean it is an effective setup for just any street driven s2000. if you are already lowered you will have to roll your front fenders to get 17x9's up there with wide tires. also you need to think about the handling dynamics. i am guessing you don't track the car or really push it to the limits since you've been running a 19x7.5 all around. 17's will give u back the nimble feel the s2000 was born with. if you are simply looking for a more driver-friendly handling setup you should get a staggered set of wheels. remember that the suspensions on the race cars that run 17x9 all around are tuned for that setup and for the preferences of that specific driver.

my advice is just get the regular 17 setup

17x7.5 up front on a 225
17x9 out back with a 245 or 255

17x9 +63 run 225, possibly 235 in the front and you can get away with 255 in the rear. Roll your rear fenders, and get a proper negative alignment.
