Default S-02 puncture self-sealing

i have oem s02's in the rear.

in the owners manual it states that the tires have a self-sealing feature when there is a puncture.

does anyone have any information regarding this feature, including how long does this "self-sealing" last, do i eventually need to patch it, does the puncture get worse over time, is it just a temporary feature?

i found 2 sharp screws, one in each rear tire, about 7mm long. my tread depth (including the tread indicator bars, going past the bars to the lowest part of the surface of the tread), is about 3mm. this means the screw was about 4mm INTO the tire.

yet, there is no noticeable leak after about one entire week, including about 100 miles of driving.

input? regarding the self-sealing feature of tubeless tires?

The thickness of the tire under the surface is probably more than the 4mm into the tire. I'd wager you didn't actually puncture the tire.

The self-sealing is VERY limited. I think you just got lucky and it didn't penetrate.
