Default S02 on front s03 on rear?

I was recently told i need new rear tires because my s02 s are bald. However i was wondering if it is ok to put the new s03s on the rear and leave the s02s on the front until they need to be replaced?

I would say that the car will not handle its best with mismatched tires. The S03 will have much better wet handling and the S02 would be better in the dry. So you end up with a car that both understeers and oversteers depending on the conditions.
Will it work? Yes, but not the best. It won't hurt the car and you would not be the first person to use the set up. If I can help let me know.

I ran SO2's up front and SO3's in the rear for a year or two until I wore them out. I autocross and track the car and had no problem with the combination.
