Hi everyone, I bought my s2 AP1 this week and I've got stock wheels and looking to upgrade to 18's.
I'm currently interested in the Work Emotion CR Kai 18x7.5 5x114.3 with an offset of +48mm, would this fit on the s2 without any rubbing on the fenders?

For the front:
Offsets lower than +43 are not recommended on the front because a very narrow tire would need to be used to avoid rubbing.
+43 to +47 offset: 205 tires, 6.5" - 7.5" wide wheel
+48 to +52 offset: 215 tires, 7.0" - 8.0" wide wheel
+53 to +57 offset: 225 tires, 7.0" - 8.0" wide wheel
+58 to +62 offset: 235 tires, 7.5" - 8.5" wide wheel
+63 or higher offset: 245 tires, 7.5" - 8.5" wide wheel

For the rear:
Offsets below 40 are not recommended for the rear because a tire narrower than the stock tire would need to be used to avoid rubbing.
+40 to +44 offset: 235 tires, 7.5" - 8.5" wide wheel
+45 to +49 offset: 245 tires, 7.5" - 9.0" wide wheel
+50 to +54 offset: 255 tires, 8.0" - 9.5" wide wheel
+55 to +59 offset: 265 tires, 8.5" - 9.5" wide wheel
+60 to +64 offset: 275 tires, 9.0" - 10.0" wide wheel
+65 or higher offset: 285 tires, 9.0" - 10.0" wide wheel

Offset of +48 looks to be ok with the tire sizes as listed above - i.e. 215 up front with 245 in the rear. A few guys run 18s and might be able to give you a better answer.

 

Make sure they do have the different centering rings for the front and rear. You will have to stay narrow on the tires but you can make them fit. It will be difficult to stagger the tires with that wheel. If I can help with the tires let me know.

 

You should see if you can get a staggard setup with at least 8.5 in the rear that way you have more grip. You will need to roll your front fenders to fit the wheels you mentioned and if you get wider ones for the rear you will need to roll those as well. Read the FAQ you will learn alot.

 

I too had long research time and tried to follow guideline from this forum.
I am running 18x7.5 +48 with 215/45/18 in the front and 18x8.5 +45 with 245/35/18 in the rear. (stock height)
This setup WILL RUB if you dont have your fenders rolled when you hit a pothole.
However normal driving is fine, no rubbing when turning and ect.
But I know it will rub occasionally and few of my inner fender clips are gone from rubbing.
I do not wish to roll my fenders, maybe camber kit would help, not sure.
