Default safe to drive on this?

I bought some wheels that came with these kdw. I found what looks like to be snow tire stud? It seems to be holding air right now. I'll check later tomorrow and see if it still does. I think I see metal inside the hole..not sure.

Should I just scrap this tire or can i still use it?

No, and I don't say that just due to the damage from the stud...from that pic there's not much tread left either...

Go to Discount Tire or Just Tires, they can patch it.

Looks OK to me. Doesn't appear to be much deeper than the thickness of a tread block. If it holds air I'd run on it. But if you drive in the rain or even *might* have to, it does look like you're due for new tires anyway...

Thats one fairly bald tire in the first place and that on top of oregon roads isnt a good idea IMO...
