I know this horse has likely been beaten to death but I'd like some thoughts from others on this one.

I like the 'ride' and look of the AP1 wheels but the allure of more contact/grip of the AP2's interests me. I will need new fronts soon anyway. I've found some V3's and I really like them as far as looks are concerned.x

I will occasionally take the car to the track (at least HPDE's) but it will mostly be street driven.

Should I get AP2 wheels? Aftermarket wheels? Or simply get new rubber?

I just started this same thread earlier today. I am buying AP2 wheels only because I'm getting them for a steal(300). So what I'm going to do is spend a butt ton of money on SUPER amazing summer tires, and then keep my AP1 wheels for the 2 1/2 months of cold we have here in south Carolina. Guy in virginia beach has some blue AP2v1 that would look sick on your red.

 

I should have noticed that thread. $300 is a steal. Is that with tires?

 

Na just wheels and lugs, but seriously like these wheels are PERFECT. I'm thinking about seeing if the dealer wants to buy um off me or trying to flip them for some cash.
