Default slippery front tires?

Any one ever notice moderate understeer becoming more prevalent on our cars as the front tires start balding?

I'm at 29k on the original set of front S-02s (rears were replaced at 18k) and they will probably last until 35,000 or more. I hope the fronts last until the rears wear out again, but I don't like the "wiggly" feeling I'm getting up front as they wear. I'm thinking of switching from the Bridgestones next time also, so if you've got any recommendations I'm all eyes.

cheers,

Tim

That will happen. Just like as the rears wear the car hydroplanes much easier. There just isn't anywhere for the water to go.
As far as switching to a different tire goes what are you looking for? Longer tread, better wet or better price? Let me know and I can make a recommendation.

Thanks Jim. I'll be calling you in the coming months. (Was on your website yesterday looking at my options.)

I do want good performance and treadwear at a decent price, but tires are always a tradeoff. You know this better than any one. We'll see...

Tim

P.S. And my car never hydroplaned in the wet, even when the rears were almost slicks. Maybe I was lucky?
