Default Spectrum Silver wheel color

This is probably a stupid question but I was about to get my wheels powder coated a different color and came across SSR's color called "spectrum silver."

I was wondering if any type of job can get this done or would I have to order wheels to be made like this?

That looks like some form of plating. It could be done, but you would most likely have to strip the powder.

It's not plating. I think they have some kind of rainbow flake the add to the clear. Talk to a powder coated they can probably tell you.

I haven't come across a powder that color yet. I have a black powder that has the spectrum flake in it, but it's just that; black. I'd venture and guess it's a paint, not a powder.

Like I said I think it's an effect in the clear not in the color. Have you asked a powder coater? They have thousands of colors and effects for powder.

It looks similar to an anodized finish on machined/polished surfaces.
