Default Spoon sw388 sticking out at the rear ??

help !!

Just fitted Spoon SW388 s 7x16 front & 8x16 rear with 45 offset all round and I'm surprised that the rears stick out a little over 1 centimetre (although the tires are yokohama 032Rs 245/45 16)

is this normal ??

thanks for any input !!

also, are Spoon lugs necessary ? and what are hubcentric rings ??

and finally do I really need centre caps ?

brgds

looking down from above the rear wing, the outside of the rear wheel/tyre is around 1cm outside of the wheelarch, whereas the same 245/45*16 yokohama 032R was wwithin the arch on the stock (but a little too narrow) rims

clearer ??

The Spoon wheels are quite a bit more aggressive than stock, and the fat tires you're running isn't helping either.

My friend's running:
F: +35 A032R 205/55/16
R: +45 A032R 225/50/16

nice pic !, looks like her has the spoon discs too !

so he put the stock rear tyre size, whilst I , based on what I heard regarding the the specific S02s being over their stated size, moved up to 245/45s ..

anyway I guess the answer for me is to investigate suspension set-ups with some negative camber at the back end !!

You're going to need a lot of that.

Good luck.

Wow that guy still has those Spoons? I got rid of both my sets.
If you run the OEM SO2s you should be just fine. I went to get my car aligned and my rear camber was like -3.5 both sides. They of course could not fix it but I didnt rub thats for sure...

Change tires and you should be fine.

I am not surprised they stick out with only a 45 offset. I will be very surprised if they don't rub like mad. You will have to be extra careful with actual tire width (as opposed to rated size)

I had 54 offsets on the rear and they rubbed with most tires.

My 48 offset fronts did not rub tho so you are probably better off on the front than the rear.

I have some 63 offset (front & rear) 18" rims coupled with 9.2" wide front tires and 10.2" wide rear tires that don't rub. It takes more offset for wider tires. I could probably go with 2-4 less offset, but no more or I would be rubbing a lot.
