Default SSR Comp 17x7.5 42 offset all around

Hey guys,

I just wanted to verify if this setup will work with my S. I found a good deal for some SSR Type-C wheels which were 17x7.5 42 offset. Will this fit properly on the car. I have the stock suspension but was planning on dropping the car sometime in the future about 1 inch. The tires I plan to use is 215 or 225 in the front and in the rear 235 or 245.

Im currently running some ASA wheels which weigh 21 pounds in the front and 24 pounds in the rear. I hope the 11 pound decrease will make the car feel faster and acutally run faster. Should I see a big difference in performance?

Should I worry about the hub size since I know there are different sizes for the front and back?

Thanks.

Yes they will fit, but a nonstaggred setup of 7.5 wide wheels is not ideal. Also, you will need to roll your fenders front and rear and more negative camber.

Don't worry about the hub size.

Thanks for the response. If I keep my stock suspension would I need to still roll them?

Yes. I think that +48 is about as agressive as you can get without a roll. Check out the Enkie Rfp1. They are lightweight and relatively inexpensive. They are +45, and come in staggered sizes for the s2000. You would still need to roll your fenders.

I didn't want t roll my fenders. So I went with +50 front and +55 rear wheels so I wouldn't have to.

You won't need to roll the rear. If you run a 215 front you probably won't need a roll in the front either at stock height.

You also have to make sure of the center bore of the wheels when you go with one size wheel all the way around. You could end up with a wheel that won't go on the front or would cause a vibration on the rear.

Regarding the offset, Should I just roll the front fenders in case or can anyone chime in if you have used or seen these offsets if it would work in the front. Its seems as though for the rear I should be ok.

with 215 in the front and 245 in the back would the tire be sticking out too much.

The wheels are being shipped and should be here by friday so incase I need to roll the fenders I can before.

Regarding the center bore, is there a way I can check this on ssr's website to see what size they come in? Do I need to install something in the front to make it fit snug compared to the rear?
