Rear hub bore is 64mm, front is 70mm, they won't fit.
Is that also true for MY 2007? I am about to buy AP1 rims for my '07 AP2. I've been told they fit without issues.

Thanks for all the replys.
I just got back from so-cal. I picked up 4 good used oem wheels, with decent tires, a nice hood and hardtop. Spent a day in Disneyland as well. I just measured the rims and the rears have smaller hubs that the fronts.
The castings look the same and the material that would need to be removed, wouldn't be much and doesn't look structural at all.
The inset on the rears looks like 1" difference than the front. If it clears the suspension, I'll try it. I'll run a wider tire in the rear.
On some of my corvettes, I'd run the same rim all around and wider tires in back. They ran good for me.
I've seen some pertty wide rims rims on the front of the S2000, wider than the 7.5 oem rim.
I still don't have my S2000 yet. I bought it as a driveable salvage, needing a frontend and some quarter panel work. I still need fenders, if anyone got some extras. Thanks, Butch.

Just wanted to update this post. I mounted the rear wheels on the front using a 5/16" spacer from PepBoys and it fits perfectly. You still have 5-6 threads showing on the wheel studs and they torqued down with no problems. I'd probably get longer wheels studs just in case for the long run. I forgot to take pictures with the OEM rear wheel on the front, but did take some running 17x8 +35 and 17x9 +35 offset...pretty goofy stuff.

Sounds like you had a succesfull shopping trip Butch!

Great! Thanks for the info.
My 02 came in by truck last night.
Now the work begins!
Well I washed it at least, after its long trip from Brooklyn, NY.
I'm glad I picked up a extra set of rims. The left rear was hit hard enough to break the hub/knuckle. The seller told me he had welded it back together to transport it. But the stock rim just has a impact mark on it and looks totally useable, but I don't think I'll risk using it.
I also picked up a decent rear bumper and nice trunk today.
Maybe a front bumper and door tomorrow.
I'm still looking for fenders!!
Thanks, Butch
