Default Are these tires too small for these wheels?

These wheels are not for an S2K, but this place was always really helpful with questions like this when I did have one, so I figured I'd ask in here for some help.

A guy is selling a set of wheels with tires already mounted up to them that are 19x8.5 up front and 19x10 in the rear. He's running 215/35/19 tires up front, and 235/35/19 tires in the rear. I would have just thought that a wider tire would be necessary for wheels this size, especially with the 19x10 rears. I am worried that the tires might be stretched, or too small for the rim width. I'm not in to that stretched tire "Euro" look.

What do you experts think? Acceptable tire size, or no?

Thanks!

Definitely stretched. A 235 if typically suited for 8"-8.5" wheel.

Anyone know of a tire size calculator that measures the minimum and maximum sizes recommended for a particular rim width? I was running a 255/30/18 on my rears when I had the S2K, and that was with a 18x8.5 wheel. Going 235/35 on a 19x10 seemed a little off to me, but I just wanted to check and make sure.

Usually when you look at the spec of a tire it has a recommended wheel width. Try the tirerack upgrade guide. It'll get you fairly close.
