[QUOTE=drift into a curb,Jan 10 2005, 08:28 PM]Just to get you started Work recommends 17x7 +47 A disk (25mm = ~1" lip) and 17x8+57 O disk (37mm = ~1.5" lip).

So is 8" width offset the same case for front and rear? Meaning front and back have the same wheel well room?

No..........front & rear are not the same when you are talking about how much room tor clearance that you have inside the fender wells.

The rear has much more room to the inside than the front does..............because wider tires are expected to be put on the rear wheels.

But if you are asking if you can run an 8" wheel with the same offset for the front and for the rear.............the answer is:

Yes if you are running the same tire size..........front to rear (not desired)

No / Not Really.......if you are or want to run wider tires in the rear to maintain the stagger.......without rubbing.

I'd go 18x8.5 with +64 O-disk or +70 A-disk for the front and 18x10 with +71 O-disk for the rear. Yeah, they fit, just take a look at what the guy's with Kinesis wheels are running. I personally like the wide wheel look from the rear, but if it's too wide for you, go with the standard 18x9.

Your recommendations are conservative at best.........
If you're going to spend money on WORKs, and simply go half assed and get a size that looks like poo, then go for it. But spend the money and get it done right, flush offset and roll the fenders (if needed, depending on stiffness of suspension/tire size).
Look........regardless of your "Training".......What I am saying is that the offsets that you have recommended are not accurate.......and will require rolling fenders.....possibly adjusting camber etc.

If someone is going to spend the $$$$ why not buy something that fits the car without having to alter the car......

I'm running WORK wheels.........now

I've also ran ASA & a few others.

I'm lowered 1" front & 1.3" in the rear.......and I can report with confidence what fits the car without additional modification and what does not.

That's nice you can report that. Regardless, I don't think you've fit low offset wheels before. I'm sorry, but your wheels are not flush. At least, a difference of opinion to me (could use 10 more mm). I gave the suggested sizing from the Work guide. It's easy to work from there. A good example is "JohnsS2K" and his SSR wheels. I don't know him, but he was willing to work on his car with his wheel sizing and go a little bit more extreme. Quit crying out wolf everytime I suggest a little more extreme sizing. I didn't say "HEY YOUR CAR NEEDS SPACERS. YOUR OFFSET IS TOO HIGH." Instead of calling BS, be a little bit more mature. I thought most s2k owners were more mature, but open up your eyes and don't limit your car.
