Let me know and I can make a recommendation.

Suzuka, I've got the same tire on a my05. How is the wear going on yours?

I am on my 3rd rear set of RE050's. Great traction wet and dry, stiff sidewalls, very poor mileage or my car is causing them to evaporate.

1st factory set rears = changed at car mileage of 9.3k miles 3mm of tread left
2nd set rears from retail = changed with 1.6mm tread left after only 4,591 miles
3rd set rears from retail = 1,300 miles later already lost 2mm to just under 6mm tread left

In other words since I came off the factory installed tyres, the second set of RE050s went from new at just under 8mm to 1.6mm (legal minimum in UK) is less than 5K miles This third set is going likewise. Wear is even across both tyres with only very minor more wear on inner tread due to negative camber. Car had full Honda 4 wheel laser alignment after fitting of second set. Bridgestone UK initial examination of tyres says nothing wrong with tyres awaiting full report next week. Front tyres show excellent wear rate with only about 2mm of wear after 6k miles leaving about 6mm tread left (changed them at 9.3K as well).

Probably going to give up when this set of rears are gone after a couple of thousands miles and try Dunlop SP Sport Maxx instead.

Isn't the average for stock RE050's 16-17K? I'm around 12K and still have plenty tread.

I have about 8100 on my car right now, and i think i can get another 3000 more.
I just want to prepair for tire change.

I really dont care much about the price, but im looking for a stickier tires(on dry).
How does other tire compair to re050 as far as traction?
would s-03 be an upgrade from re050?
how about bf g-force?

thanks

S03's are rated better on dry than RE050's. RE050's are rated the best for the combo wet/dry.

If your in a primarily dry area, nothing will beat the S03 for stickiness. If it rains though......forget it!!! They suck in the wet.

Keep in mind that you get pretty damn close performance with the RE050's and they have above average rating in the wet.

The tread wear on the S03's is 220 vice the RE050's which is 140. Under the same driving conditions, the S03's would last a little longer.

So the answer is YES.....in the dry the S03 is an upgrade.

In my opinion it's all down hill from there..... It comes down to driving style and preference.

$$ is a big factor when it comes to tires. Depending on how you drive......why spend $$ for tires that out perform your driving style? It's preference but it's also important to understand it's safety too.

Your tires are the only thing touching the road that keeps you in control.

are you sure about the wet performance of the BS S0-3'? tire rack rates them better than the REO-50's for the wet, and every one I have talked to who has them on there car, would agree.
